Together, we make a direct impact in our local community.

Programs We Offer

  • At Sparkle Sacramento, our Holiday Gift Drive is at the heart of what we do. We believe every child deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and special, especially during the holidays. That’s why we don’t just hand out a few wrapped gifts, we create an entire experience.

Each family receives a curated package of gifts tailored to the child’s age, interests, and needs. From toys and clothing to essentials and personal touches, every item is thoughtfully selected. But the experience goes beyond the gifts. With help from our partners at the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department Youth Services Unit and National Charity League of Sacramento, we deliver these packages in a way that brings joy while preserving dignity.

We also include holiday treats, festive wrap, and personalized items to make it feel like a celebration. Our volunteers, including local families and teens from the National Charity League of Sacramento, wrap each item with care.

Last year, we reached many single mothers and children across Sacramento County. With your support, we can bring the magic of the holidays to even more.

Nominations for 2025 Holiday Gift Drive open on October 1st.

  • Sparkle Sacramento’s Enrichment Scholarships give children of single mothers access to meaningful extracurricular opportunities. We know that growth happens not only in school but also on the soccer field, in the dance studio, during music lessons, or while attending summer camp.

These scholarships are designed to eliminate financial barriers so kids can pursue their interests and feel a sense of belonging. Whether it’s covering registration fees, uniforms, supplies, or transportation, Sparkle helps ensure that no child misses out because of their circumstances.

Our goal is to empower each child to discover new passions, build confidence, and be part of something that helps them shine.

  • Single mothers often put their families first and themselves last. At Sparkle Sacramento, our Mother’s Day Gift Bags are a way to tell these women that they are seen, valued, and appreciated.

Each bag is filled with care and intention. We include items that encourage rest and self-care, like beauty products, snacks, candles, handwritten notes, and gift cards. These simple gifts serve as a reminder that the hard work of motherhood does not go unnoticed.

With help from volunteers, we deliver these bags to mothers across the Sacramento area. It’s a small gesture that makes a lasting impact, reminding them they are not alone and that they deserve kindness.
